My 10 Favorite River Stones are:

Fiona asked for our 10 favorite 'small stones' so for better or worse these are mine.

1. Surprises and knotty decisions are like dandelions in Spring -- you never when where or when they're going to pop up.

2. Tangled yarn is easier to fix than a tangled life. Maybe that's why I'd rather stay home and needlepoint.

3. Reflection can be a good thing when inspiration joins the fray and prompts new vision.

4. How precious it is to end the day and feel that it was productive and a blessing rather than a burden.

5. When I read Lia's blog, Yum Yum Cafe, this morning I realized that contemplating New Year's resolutions was not what I needed. The better approach is a New Year's revolution. After an tumultuous 2010 on several levels, it's time to seriously consider some major changes and muster the courage I know I have stashed somewhere in the clutter in my poor damaged brain and move forward.

6. Starting my very own personal, life-changing revolution isn't as easy as it sounded two days ago, nor does coming up with a scintillating 'stone' each day and the list of such endeavors goes on and on . . .

7. Blame and denial by certain factions, entities and individuals will not solve the travesty that's occurred in our country. Am I angry? Damned right!

8. Every time I think that I'm making some progress in getting things organized, I find something else I need to organize.

9. There's nothing like an Alberta Clipper blowing about nine inches of snow through Ohio to remind us that it's winter. Yikes!

10. As I think of what happened in Arizona, I can't help but think that -- as I always have -- that the Reckless Right has gone too far. Prayers for all who were killed or injured just don't seem sufficient and ring hollow in the insanity of it all.
